The Committee received the report of the Chief Planning Officer, together with information and details received after the agenda was prepared.
18/00875/FUL – LAND AND STABLES AT WOLVERHAMPTON ROAD, PRESTWOOD, SOUTH STAFFORDSHIRE – APPLICANT – MR BILLY JOE TIMMINS – PARISH – KINVER
These items had been deferred over concerns regarding the highways advice offered.
There was a discussion regarding visibility and ownership of the hedge.
Councillor Hingley proposed a motion to defer consideration of this application to allow time to determine who owned the hedge.
Councillor Lockley seconded the motion.
The motion was defeated.
RESOLVED: that approval be delegated to the Team Manager subject to investigating ownership of the hedgerows and if that ownership is within control of the site owner, an additional clause be included requiring him to control the hedge.
NOTE:
County Highways have now confirmed that the hedgerow is in their ownership and suggest an informative is attached to the permissions advising that the hedge is maintained.
Informative:
The hedgerow adjacent to the access of the site onto the A449 shall be regularly maintained to ensure that visibility is maximised
